I couldn't agree more.

AI-based development “assistance” tools produce too much noise. They are attractive to those suffering from “blank page” syndrome, well used, they can challenge the code produced, and certainly for those using scripting languages (JS / Python / PHP) they can produce a result that may seem satisfactory.

In my personal case, every time I've used them (Copilot, Codium, Codestra, o1, ...) the code produced was at best inelegant, at worst completely wrong.
